HypnoBirthing

What is HypnoBirthing®?

HypnoBirthing is a childbirth method that focuses on preparing parents for calm and gentle birth.  In HypnoBirthing classes, you will learn proven techniques in a well-thought-out program of deep relaxation, visualization, and self-hypnosis. All of these are designed to help you achieve a more comfortable birth. HypnoBirthing encourages a calm, peaceful, and natural pregnancy, birth, and bonding experience for families.

What HypnoBirthing® has to offer:

  • Approximately 70% of our moms birth without the use of pain medications, and less than 20% receive epidurals. That means that far fewer moms and their babies are dealing with the side effects of pain medications than what is experience using other birthing options.

What are the benefits of a HypnoBirthing®?:

  • Relaxed Mom, Dad and Baby throughout pregnancy, labor and birth. Both parents participate in the deep relaxation, visualization and breathing sessions, providing them with a sense of calm and confidence.
  • Shorter labors due to relaxed muscles which work more effectively than those muscles that are tense due to fear.
  • Fewer complications and interventions, as the body and mind stay completely relaxed during labor.
  • Moms use fewer or no drugs at all which means that baby experiences a drug free birth as well!
  • Elimination of the Fear/Tension/Pain Syndrome. By understanding her body and what it is doing, and by working with her birth partner to release all fears, our moms experience pressure and tightening sensations during birth instead of pain.

“Dear Rhonda,
I have been meaning to write (time flies when you're busy!) for a while now, as I wanted to thank you for doing that extra fear release with us at the last class. My biggest fear was that he wouldn't turn into the vertex position and that I would have to have a C-section. I couldn't confirm it till the following Monday at my doctor's appointment, but I am pretty sure he turned that very night after I released the fear about it. Everything felt different in the morning, and when I went to the doctor I was told that his head is very snugly down where it needs to be. Thank you again!
